Xiaona Zhou is a young pianist who studied abroad in Germany. She started to learn piano when she was 7 years old.

She learned from famous pianists including Prof. Sheng XiHui and Prof. Jin Shi from Shenyang Conservatory of Music,

and she won a number of awards in youth piano contests in China. Xiaona Zhou was admitted to Musikhochschule Luebeck in 2002,

her mentor was Prof. Manfred Fock, a famous German pianist and educator.

Xiaona Zhou obtained her master and doctorate degree of piano performance in 2006 and 2009 respectively.

While studying in Musikhochschule Luebeck, she was the winner of the well-known Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship.

She held many successful solo and chamber music concerts in Laeiszhalle-Musikhalle Hamburg, Steinway Music Hall, Bechstein Music Hall, Flensburg Music Hall,

and also in Luebeck, Kiel etc. In 2004, Zhou Xiaona recorded and released her first personal debut album, which included Beethoven's works of piano sonata,

Chopin's piano etudes and Prokofiev’s piano sonata No 8, after publication she was interviewed by important newspapers.

She was compared with Lang Lang. In 2007, she was hired as a piano teacher in music institutes and learnt chamber music from many famous performers like

Walter Levin, Thomas Brandis ,Sabine Meyer and Diethelm Jonas.

In the 2009 graduation concert, she was highly praised by the music reviewers for her successful performance of Debussy’s piano etudes.

Starting from 2010, Zhou Xiaona began to focus on piano teaching and tutoring in Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

In 2014 she recorded the Beethoven‘s Kreutzer Sonata and Franck‘s Violin Sonata with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Li Pei.
